Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what the GFREA app and gfrea.com collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you use Ask GFREA a question, in the app or on gfrea.com:
- Your name and email address
- The topic you choose and your question
- Whether you agreed to receive GFREA updates
Your saved cards and your advice of the day alert settings are stored only on your device. We do not receive them. The app has no accounts, no advertising trackers and no location tracking, and gfrea.com uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your questions
- Send newsletters and updates, only with your consent
- Improve our services
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may share information:
- With your explicit consent
- With service providers who assist our operations, such as Formspree, which delivers question form messages to us, and Vercel, which hosts gfrea.com and keeps standard server logs, like IP addresses, to run and secure the site
- To comply with legal requirements
- In connection with a business transfer
4. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Give you access to a copy of it
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Stop sending you marketing, by withdrawing consent at any time
Email info@gfrea.com and we will respond within 45 days. To erase saved cards and alert settings, use Clear data on this device in the app, or delete the app. If the law where you live gives you additional privacy rights, we will honor them.
5. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, consistent with New York's SHIELD Act. Form messages are sent over an encrypted connection. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
6. Data retention
We keep the questions you send only as long as we need them to respond to you and to meet legal requirements. Then we delete them.
7. Children
GFREA is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
